Staff Reporter

A large number of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers stormed into State party headquarters here on Thursday and created a ruckus over ticket issues while coming in support and against sitting MlAs.

Dozens of supporters and dissenters of Dharsiwa Assembly seat MlA Devjibhai Patel were also ‘face-to-face’ and raised slogans. The office bearers of  Dharsiwa unit of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) raised slogans and stated that development work had come to a standstill during the tenure of the sitting MlA Devjibhai Patel.

They also alleged that those who arrived at State BJP headquarters in support of Patel were ‘Congress supporters’ who had nothing to do with development issues concerning Dharsiwa. On the other hand, a dozen supporters came in support of Santosh Nayak while demanding that he be offered a ticket instead of sitting MlA laxmi Baghel.

They stated that the sitting MlA remained inactive in the constituency and her re-selection to contest  would be protested. Similarly, party workers from Aarang demanded that a ticket be offered to the former MlA Sanjay Didi and raised slogans in his support. The supporters of various MlAs also surrounded party MP Ramesh Bais as soon as he arrived at the State Party Headquarters. A large number of  Panchayat representatives and party workers from Chitrakot  region met CM Raman Singh and other State party leaders on Wednesday on ticket issues. Supporters of various MlAs also gathered in front of party’s State In-charge JP Nadda and put up their demands.
