BJP to remain aggressive against govt: Raman

Staff Reporter

The Chhattisgarh BJP will continue to aggressively point out the failures of the Congress government in the state, former Chief Minister Raman Singh said on Saturday.

He was speaking to the media after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interaction with BJP leaders and workers earlier in the day.

Reacting to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel's comment that he remained in Chhattisgarh even after being the national Vice President of the party, Dr Raman Singh said: “Why has he a problem with my being national Vice President? The working area is Chhattisgarh. And what work I do will be decided by my party President.”

On procuring cow dung at Rs 1.50 per kg, the former Chief Minister said: “The state government could not procure paddy at the promised rate, the promise of two years of paddy bonus and unemployment allowance to youth has not been fulfilled... Let the government procure it but it should also procure the paddy at the promised rate.”
