Chhattisgarh BJP President Arun Sao on Monday said the party will launch a state-wide ‘Chalbo Gauthan-Kholbo Pol’ campaign from May 20 to create public awareness.
He said this is to expose the corruption involved in the scheme.
He was interacting with the media after visiting the Godhi Gauthan near Raipur. The Gauthan did not have any cow or procured any cow dung and had no arrangements to take care of the cattle.
He alleged that the state government had come up with the Narva Garva, Ghurva and Bari scheme under which the Gauthans are being constructed. For which more than Rs 1,300 crore have been spent across the state. He said out of 9,790 Gauthans, only a few model gauthans are functional in the state.
