The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday set up a six-member team to probe the Narayanpur incident in which a church was vandalized and a senior police officer and other policemen were injured.
The team includes former Minister and MLA Nankiram Kanwar, MLA Shivratan Sharma, Kanker MP Mohan Mandavi, Rajnandgaon MP Santosh Pandey and former Ministers Kedar Kashyap and Mahesh Gagda, a BJP statement said.
A church was reportedly vandalized and Narayanpur Superintendent of Police Sadanand Kumar was attacked and injured on Monday during a protest by a group of tribals in Narayanpur city.
