Technology is changing the way the Chhattisgarh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had been preparing for the forthcoming Assembly polls in the State.
In tandem with its Social Media poll campaign which has gone viral across Chhattisgarh, the party’s State-level leaders in the BJP headquarters in Raipur now hold video conferences with district presidents and other office bearers in all districts of the State to know about the Status of party’s various activities and poll preparations.
‘The broadband connectivity with all the district level offices had helped hugely in holding of video conferences among party leaders and workers from all districts of the State, Head of BJP’s IT Cell in Chhattisgarh Deepak Mashkey told The Pioneer. He said that video conferencing is very popular now in the BJP offices in Chhattisgarh to the extent that now even the central leadership of the party interacts with the State-level leaders through video conferencing.
Earlier, the party’s leaders at the State level had to spend lot of money and time travelling to Raipur from various districts of the State even for short meetings. The broadband connectivity now available with the party offices has greatly help hold meetings resulting in great saving in cost and time,’ he said.
‘Broadband connectivity provides the most convenient mode of communication for the party now to interact with the leadership both at the central and State level and workers even in the far flung areas of the State, Mashkey added.
