Senior BJP leader and former minister Prem Prakash Pandey on Sunday sought a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into an alleged ‘tape scam’ linked to Congress general secretary P.L. Punia, AICC in-charge for Chhattisgarh.
“Chief Minister has set up so many SITs to probe into different issues, why not an SIT could be formed to investigate a ‘tape’ which surfaced before state assembly polls which was linked to Punia.” Pandey said while addressing a press conference.
Pandey further said, “within 100 days of the Congress coming to power, a sense of chaos prevails in the state due to failure of law and order situation. The incidents of rape, loot, broad-daylight murder, chain-snatching and anti-social activities have risen’’.
He further said that BJP-led NDA government would retain power at the centre as people have full faith in leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
