BJP Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe National president Ramvichar Netam took a strong exception to a Congress minister allegedly making pun of Chhattisgarh BJP state president Vikram Usendi’s surname.
The BJP leader termed it as an insult to tribal community of the state and sought his ouster from the government.
He said for this act of indecency, people of the state would seek apology from the minister.
Netam said the minister’s remark was a manifestation of Congress party’s anti-tribal character.
State minister Jaisingh Agrawal reportedly took a pot shot at BJP state president’s surname.
Netam also dragged Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s into the issue saying Congress’s true character was exposed when he (Rahul) referred dreaded terrorist Masood Azhar as ‘Ji’
He adds, “Out of arrogance of power, the minister disrespected the tribal community. In democracy, the Congress even started showing disrespect to leaders of the opposition parties. There might be political differences, but the ruling party should respect the opposition, which one cannot expect from the Congress.”
