BJP questions govt’s job claims after PSC revelation

Staff Reporter

BJP on Friday questioned Chhattisgarh government’s claim of providing jobs to five lakh youths in the state after possibility of no government recruitment by PSC next year.

Recently, chairman of Chhattisgarh State Public Service Commission (CGPSC) while talking to media said there is a possibility of CGPSC declaring zero year in 2020 that could result in no recruitment by the PSC that year.

Leader of opposition Dharamlal Kaushik reacting over the possibility of zero year said that state government was playing with the future of youth of the state.

“Congress government on one hand claims that five lakh youths have been provided jobs in the state while on other PCS declaring possibility of a zero year. This raises several questions,” Kauskhik said in a press statement.

According to Kaushik, every year about 1.15 lakh youths in Chhattisgarh appear for the PSC exams. If in 2019, PSC fails to publish job recruitment then a whole year of those youths will be wasted.

“Every year as per PSC’s calendar in the month of November PSC releases the recruitment advertisement. In June, the mains exam is held and by November the selected candidates face interview. Who will be responsible for change in the PSC calendar and its impact on other exams” Kaushik asked.
