BJP kicks off poll preparations

SR

School Education and PWD Minister Brijmohan Agarwal took the ruling party’s first step towards the poll preparations through a workers convention held in Raipur South seat of the Assembly segment.

The chief guest at the convention was former Union Minister and currently party MP Ramesh Bais. The parents of the Minister inaugurated that party’s poll office at Kailashpuri after performing puja. The poll office has been given the name ‘Tatpar’.

Addressing the party workers, Bais called Agarwal as the most capable leader in the party. He called upon the party workers to get ready for preparations to be made for both Assembly and the lok Sabha polls. Bais said that the party’s victory with a huge margin would have to be ensured not just in the Raipur South seat but in all the four seats in Raipur.

BJP national vice president Karuna Shukla said that the poll 'begul' has been blown and the workers are in the situation to go before the public with their heads held high.

Shukla said that the Congress is bent upon ending democracy in the country. Addressing party workers, Agarwal said that he had been receiving the blessings of the people for the past 25 years.

“I will not do anything for which I would have to lower my head in shame. It is imperative to focus in areas where the BJP had not got votes,” the Minister said.

Former Minister Ajay Chandrakar said that Agarwal had carried out many development works in his constituency.

A large number of party workers were present on the occasion.
