Commenting on former-Chief Minister Ajit Jogi’s decision to stay away from active politics for one year, Mahant said he will discuss it with it Jogi. “I would try to persuade him to come out of his year-long break and contest the lok Sabha polls,” he said. The former Chief Minister should contest polls in this hour of need, he said.

Chhattisgarh’s first chief minister Jogi who is wheelchair-bound because of a near-fatal road accident in 2004, had also kept himself away from Poll Committee meeting held at Congress Bhavan in the city on last weekend.
