Staff Reporter

Chief Minister Raman Singh on Monday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does not believe in dynastic rule such as the one practised by the Congress party.

‘There is also no tradition in the BJP to offer a top post to an ineligible person as is prevalent in a dynastic rule,’ he said while attending the two-day Working Committee meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) which began here today. He said that the BJP had been giving importance to grassroots level workers which is  the very reason why their work would certainly bear fruit during the coming decade.

Singh said that the party neither follows the Congress tradition of offering the top posts to the members of the dynastic family nor it gives importance to ineligible persons from dynastic families holding top posts.  He said that all the senior leaders of the party such as former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Deputy Prime Minister lal Krishna Advani and other senior leaders who have reached the pinnacle on the basis of their own strength.

Regarding poll preparations to be made by BJYM in Chhattisgarh, Singh said that the youth wing must prepare a three-month 'Action Plan' while determining how the workers would reach even the last booth in the State. He said that the BJYM is such a force which cannot be defeated by anybody. ‘A lethargic person can acquire a top post but cannot move forward. The person who had been offered a top post must participate in the activities of his organization as well as take up social activities’, Singh said.
