BJP, Cong struggle to pacify rebels

SR

Major political parties, the BJP and the Congress in Chhattisgarh are sweating in pacifying the claimants who have been deprived of tickets in the assembly election.

The plea of the party candidates to the rebel leaders to work on the party line, has gone effortless in all the six constituencies, including that of Rajnandgaon. However, some ticket claimants have started preparations to rebel against the party.

Both the parties worry of internecine. For the BJP and the Congress face the worst situation in Khujji assembly constituency. BJP’s Vijay Sahu is being accused of from one special area. The strong ticket claimant from the area, Rajinderpal Singh Bhatia had declared to fight the election as an independent.

Similarly, internal dissension against the Congress candidate MlA Bholaram Sahu is growing up. Ramesh Jain, Vipin Yadav, Alaliram Yadav and others leaders from the area are keeping silence on the issue.

In Dongargarh, the candidature of Thaneshwar Patila, son of former minister Dhanesh Patila, is getting challenged. Most of the big leaders of Dongargarh have been hurt with the decision of the party. Govind Tandon, Dheeraj Meshram and other leaders were claimants of the seat. All of them were said to be angry with the party’s decision.

Opposition also is growing up against the BJP candidate from the area Sarojini Banjare from the party leaders. Coordination among the party’s MlA, ex-MlA and other organisation leaders of the area could not be made so far.

The Congress’s Girwar Janghel from Khairagarh assembly seat also seems to be in trouble. It is said that though the former MP, Devbrat Singh, has retreated from the poll arena publicly, but internally, the office-bearers of his team are not showing interest in working for the party candidate.

BJP’s Komal Janghel is also facing stiff resistance from the present and former leaders of the party. State vice president of the party Siddharth Singh, former Nagar Panchayat president of Gandai Ashvani Tamrakar, former Nagar Panchayat president of Chhuikhadan Rawalchand Kochar, Girish Sharma and Hemant Sharma are openly getting prepared for making impediments in the victory of Janghel.

BJP candidate from Mohla-Manpur Bhojesh Shah Mandavi is facing opposition from former MlA Sanjeev Shah and district panchayat member Kanchanmala Bhuarya and other claimants. Tug-of-war is going on for the Congress ticket from this seat.

Congress candidate from Dongargaon Daleshwar Sahu is suffering anger from strong claimants, though he has been making efforts to pacify them. However, the situation of BJP candidate Dinesh Gandhi is getting worse due to internal differences. Though he got the ticket because of caste equation, but success seems to be far away from him. However, both the parties in the district are making all out efforts to pacify ticket claimants and the rebels.
