BJP calls bandh a failure

Staff Reporter

Chhattisgarh BJP called the State-wide bandh called by Congress a failure and condemned the sabotage by Congress workers during the bandh.

In a statement issued by BJP State headquarters here on Wednesday, party’s State spokesperson Sachchidanand Upasane accused the Congress of politicising the sensitive matters.

He said that Chief Minister Raman Singh has clarified to take strict action against those found guilty in the Bilaspur sterilization camp incident. Proper treatment is being provided to the victims. However, the Congress leaders are playing politics over such a sensitive matter which is undesirable, he said.

Party spokesperson Subhau Kashyap said that Congress leaders can go to any extent to get false sympathy of people and therefore trying to politicise the matter.

The bandh had no support and people faced inconvenience. People are aware of the real character of Congress leaders and therefore did not support the bandh, said Kashyap.

Party Spokesperson Shrichand Sundrani said that the Chief Minister has taken immediate action and announced  compensation to the victims. But Congress is deliberately blowing the issue out of proportion to get political mileage.

Party Spokesperson Sanjay Srivastava said that people suffered due to the bandh. People have faith in the BJP Government and they paid no heed to the Congress bandh, he said.
