Drawing inspiration from business leaders for individual and organisational effectiveness was the theme of calendar 2014 brought out as part of Excellence series by Business Excellence Department.
Releasing a desk calendar “Utkristata – 2014” created in-house by Business Excellence Department of the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), S Chandrasekaran, CEO, BSP reiterated the need to ensure the collective’s wholehearted participation in the implementation of strategies and action plans for meeting the objectives of organization.
Dr Subodh Hiran, Dir(M&HS), RK Nehru, ED(MM), YK Degan ED(W), SB Jagdale , ED I/c(Projects), SK Pradhan ED(Projects), SK Saha ED(Mines) and NK Kapila ED(F&A) were present on the occasion. The Calendar was presented to the top management team by SPS Jaggi GM(BE) and Yogesh Shastri DGM(BE).
This limited edition calendar features Business leaders like Jack Welch, E Sreedharan, Robert Bosch, Dr Devi Shetty, Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, NR Narayana Murthy, Sam Walton, Richard Branson, liu Chuanzhi, lee Iacocca and Walt Disney, and leadership lessons from them. This time, besides messages from Chairman and CEO, the calendar features best practices from various organisations across the world on the five enablers of EFQM Business Excellence Model 2013 that are – leadership, Strategy, People, Partnership & Resources, and Process, Product & Services.
The calendar is also a storehouse of information regarding Bhilai Steel Plant, the main areas of focus during the new year, the future plans and projects, and the various activities being carried out under the Business Excellence umbrella, for bringing Quality and excellence to centre stage in the organization and the awards and accolades won by Bhilai Steel Plant in previous year.
