Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), the flagship unit of the public sector steel giant SAIL, has created a new record by producing 4052 tons of prime rail on February 19, a company statement informed here on Thursday.
The synergistic effort of the combined production of both rail mills led to the new benchmark production. Rail and Structural Mill produced 2806 Tons and Universal Rail Mill produced 1246 Tons.
Congratulating collective efforts of both the rail mills on the occasion, ED(Works) PK Das told that this kind of achievement gives confidence in the collective capabilities of the BSP team and reinforces the resolve to supply ten lakh tons of rail to Indian Railways in 2018-19.
He felicitated the shift executives of RSM, URM and also the senior officials of these shops as well as of the allied departments.
