The counting of votes casted in 12 Assembly seats of Bastar should be carried before December 8 demanded Bhakta Charan Das Secretary All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary addressing a Press conference here at party headquarters Congress Bhawan on Thursday.
The AICC Secretary raised apprehensions that the ruling state government could execute some mischief in strong rooms of Bastar and put the blame it on Naxals.
Bhakta Charan Das further said that ruling party is under pressure and it is evident from the fact that BJP Prime Ministerial candidate is addressing five public meetings a day in a row. Bhakta Charan Das further said that several crores are being spent for deploying central forces to guard the strong rooms that would be also saved by early vote counting.
When questioned about the reasons for raising such apprehension, the Congress leader did not specified the cause of raising such demand. He further also claimed that Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has already lost elections in Rajnandgaon constituency and the results will only substantiate this belief after vote counting.
