The construction of second circuit High Pressure (HP) power distribution line of Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company limited (CSPDCl) from Sub-centre Bemetara 132/33 KW to Sub-centre Saja has been completed. The line will be energised on June 8 this year, CSPDCl officials informed on Friday. The line passes through over a dozen of villages before reaching Saja. Once the line is energised, it will make available quality power supply in the region. The CSPDCl officials have cautioned locals to maintain distance from electric towers and never try to tamper with the power lines as it could lead to an untoward incident.
Notably during the formation of the State, Chhattisgarh had only 27 high pressure Sub-centres which have now reached to 90. likewise the HP line that was 5205 circuit kilometers has been extended to 10534 circuit kms. According to company officials, the development of infrastructure has solved low voltage problem in several regions of the State and has ensure uninterrupted power supply to the consumers.
