Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said that after the commencement of the Nagarnar Steel Plant, Bastar would also become an important industrial centre like Bhilai. Railway services will go up in the area too, he said. On the occasion, the chief minister also announced to install statue of Bastar Maharaj lat Praveer Chand Bhanj Deo in Dalpat Sagar lake and also performed bhumi pujan/ dedication ceremony of development projects worth `243 crore.
