The Dhaka Airlines aircraft which had been parked at the Swami Vivekananda Airport here for the past six-and-a-half months after it made an emergency landing on August 7 last year here is ready to fly again, officials stated.
It may be recalled that on August 7 last year, the Dhaka Airlines flight from Dhaka to Muscat had to make an emergency landing at Swami Vivekananda Airport after a technical snag.
However, the aircraft would be allowed to take off after its air worthiness is certified now by the Civil Aviation Authority in Bangladesh as a procedure, they stated.
The aircraft had been attended by Bangladeshi technical team and the engine has been changed and ground testing also done and found satisfactory, officials stated.
Now aircraft is ready for fly. However, before that, certificate of air worthiness is required from Civil Aviation Authority in Bangladesh, they stated.
