Baghel terms ED raids in C’garh ‘vindictive’

Staff Reporter

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday condemned the Enforcement Directorate’s fresh raids at multiple locations of businessmen, officials and an MLA in Chhattisgarh.

Talking to reporters at Raipur airport while proceeding for Uttar Pradesh, Baghel termed the raids "vindictive" and asked why the agency doesn't raid the Adani group.

The agency targets states governed by non-BJP parties and all these are done at the behest of BJP leaders, he alleged.

“Till horse trading was done and before Uddhav Thackeray was dethroned, the ED made multiple raids in Maharashtra and surprisingly became silent thereafter,” he said.

Baghel also alleged that the ED didn’t take action in those issues where BJP leaders were involved.
