Raipur Collector Dr S. Bharti Dasan and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Yadav on Monday appealed to people of the district not to leave their home unnecessarily.
While thanking the residents for cooperating during the week-long lockdown, the officers requested people to use masks and follow social distancing while venturing outside their home, an official press release said.
"The lockdown was enforced to break the corona chain and we are expecting positive results ahead. We thank you for your cooperation but now we will have to exercise self-restraint and try to save ourselves from coronavirus," the appeal said.
They said that even little carelessness on the part of people can prove dangerous and fatal for one's family members.
Wearing a mask and following social distancing are the only instruments against the virus, they said.
