hhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday virtually inaugurated the Swami Atmanand Coaching Scheme from here.
School Education Minister Ravindra Choubey presided over the programme.
Under the initiative, students in the 12th grade in government schools will get free online coaching to prepare for competitive examinations in engineering and medical fields.
A total of 150 coaching centres have been equipped with Internet connections and computers in all 146 development block headquarters of the state as well as in Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur and Korba districts.
Baghel also announced the establishment of free online coaching facilities for the Public Service Commission (PSC) and other competitive exams. Baghel said: “This scheme will prove to be an important factor in shaping a brighter future for Chhattisgarh’s children.”
