AICC’s Chhattisgarh in-charge P.L. Punia on Friday announced that appointments in government boards and corporations would be done soon.
Talking to media persons here at Swami Vivekanand Airport, Raipur, Punia said the party leaders and workers who had done exemplary work in the recently concluded assembly elections and paved the way for the party’s impressive win would be rewarded by providing them coveted posts.
Such leaders would not have to wait long as the list of chairmen in boards and corporations would soon be declared, he said.
Replying to a query on tribal villagers’ movement in Bailadila against allotment of iron ore block no 13 to Adani’s Adani Enterprises Limited, Punia said “The rights of tribals will never be compromised at any cost. Chhattisgarh government is with the tribals and not the industrialists”. “Whatever decision has to be taken will be taken in the interest of the tribals,” he added.
On the resentment of state employees, Punia said it was in the knowledge of state leadership and it would do the best to resolve it. He also declared that the party would now gear up activities for the Panchayat and urban body polls. He would conduct a series of meeting in this regard.
“We are taking feedbacks from common workers and will formulate a plan accordingly to fight the polls”, he added.
