A local court on Saturday issued production warrant for September 12 against Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) leader Amit Jogi in Antagarh Tape case.
Amit Jogi is presently lodged in jail at Gaurella, Bilaspur under judicial remand after a FIR was lodged against him by Sameera Painkra for forgery.
S. K. Farhan counsel for Amit Jogi when contacted said an application was moved before First Judicial Magistrate First Class Leena Agrawal urging that he wanted to contest the case in person for which he could be called through production warrant.
The court accepting the application, issued production warrant directing Amit Jogi be produced before the court on September 12, Farhan said.
Meanwhile, Jogi has moved a bail application before the High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur on Saturday. The court has not considered the application for hearing as per legal sources.
He had moved the High Court after ADJ Court Pendra had recently rejected his bail application and sent him to jail. Following health issues, he was shifted to CIMS but on Friday late night he was shifted to ICU of Apollo Hospital, Bilaspur.
