Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Mohan Markam said on Wednesday that the BJP's planned protests are against its own government at the Centre as the Chhattisgarh government is working on the shortcomings created by the Modi regime.
In a statement to the media, Markam said even after all efforts of BJP to cause hindrance in procurement of paddy at minimum support price, till date from 12.42 lakh farmers around 57.37 lakh tonnes of paddy have been procured.
Against this, Rs 9122 crores have been released to the farmers as payment.
On the shortage of gunny sacks, he said additional allocation of sacks have been sought. Against the earlier order still 36,000 rolls of gunny bags have not been received.
