Sufficient Covid-19 testing kits are available in Chhattisgarh, Health Department Commissioner Dr. C.R. Prasanna said on Saturday.
He said that 100,000 rapid antigen kits were supplied on Saturday. Additionally, 105,000 will be given to the state on April 5 and an equal number on April 6.
The Health Department currently has 228,000 RTPCR test kits. Purchase orders have been issued to supply 4 lakh kits on March 27. These will be delivered by next week.
There is no crisis of test kits in the state at present, the officer said.
In the first two days of April, around 75,000 samples have been examined across the state. Of these, 40,857 samples were tested on April 1 and 34,075 samples on April 2.
