Raipur district administration took action against the Water Flyboard and Jetski Show, at Budha Talab, Raipur under way from 7.00 pm onwards on Sunday for violation of the election model code of conduct. Prior permission was not taken by the event organising company for use of loudspeakers.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Sandeep Agrawal and CSP Purani Basti jointly seized two processor and two sound boxes.
SDM Sandeep Agrawal when contacted said that the event company had the permission of organising the event at Budhatalab but with election model code of conduct enforced in state, they had not sought permission for use of loudspeakers.
The boxes and other related materials have been seized by the district administration. He added that due to lack of sound system, the event company had to shut down the event.
