About 64 citizens donated blood at a camp organised by the Red Cross at District Hospital Jashpur here. Sixty-four units of blood were collected. Among those who donated blood included Collector Himshikhar Gupta, CEO of Zilla Panchayat Jaiprakash Maurya and a number of senior officers. The blood donation camp was started at 11:00 am at the district hospital, officials stated. Chief Medical Officer Dr B.B. Borde and Civil Surgeon Dr N.C.Nande and his monitoring team supervised the camp and said that by donating blood a human life is saved. Deputy Director of Public Relations Santosh Maurya, Mining Officer M.D.Joshi Deputy Collector Premlal Patel, ‘Halla Bol’ and members of other social service organisations, journalists, zilla panchayat staff,health department, Diet students, students of various colleges, NSS volunteers and CRPF jawans, participated in the blood donation camp.
