About 57.45 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of paddy had been procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP) during the Kharif season 2015-16 as on January 27, 2016.
The procurement of paddy at Minimum Support Price (MSP) had started on November 16, 2015 and will last till January 31, 2016, officials stated.
The Support Price for common paddy (coarse) is fixed at Rs 1410 and for Grade -A paddy (slim paddy) is fixed at Rs 1450 per quintal. The paddy is being purchased at 1 976 procurement centres across Chhattisgarh.
