Chhattisgarh on Saturday crossed the 5,000 coronavirus patients mark. With 243 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday, it was biggest one day jump in Chhattisgarh so far. Also 146 patients were discharged after their recovery, officials said.
Among 243 positive cases, 64 came from Bilaspur, 45 from Kanker, 25 from Raipur5, 18 each from Bijapur and Durg, 11 each from Bastar and Janjgir Champa, 7 each from Narayanpur and Raigarh, 6 from Korea, 4 each from Sukma and Surguja, 3 each from Bemetara, Kabirdham, Kondagaon and Dantewada, 2 each from Dhamtari, Balod Bazar, Jashpur, 2 migrants from other states, and 1 each from Rajnandgaon, Korba and Balrampur.
According to Health Department officials, 5,246 persons were affected by Covid infection and 3,658 discharged after recovery.
