The 41st chess competition of All India Electricity Sports Control Board would be held in Raipur from February 25 to 28, officials informed on Monday.
The state-owned power companies in Chhattisgarh will be organising the event in which selected chess players from different State electricity boards would take part.
For better execution of competition, a meeting was held at ‘Seva Bhawan’ — the headquarters of State owned power companies here in which Executive Director (Finance) MS Chauhan, Chief Engineer (Civil) DK Bhalerao and Vice President of All India Power Sports Control Board Chief Engineer Ajay Shrivastava took part.
During the meeting, 11 committees were formed for better management of the competition. It was decided that the chess competition would be held in Bhansali Marriage Palace at Tatiband. The prize distribution would be held on February 28 at 5 pm.
