Home Minister Ramsevak Paikra informed Chhattisgarh Assembly on Thursday that a total of 3507 Naxal incidents took place in the State between 2010 to 2016.
In a written reply to Congress member TS Singhdeo, the Minister informed that a total of 205 CRPF jawans , 43 SPO , 210 Chhattisgarh Police and 49 of other security forces were martyred during the period.
During the period, a total of 26 officials and employees of various Government departments and 531 general citizens lost their life, he informed.
A total of 2057 Maoists surrendered during the period, 4939 were arrested and 140 prosecuted. There are 34 Maoists against whom trials are yet to start, the Minister informed.
