The Internal Auditors have helped in conducting four numbers of Internal Audits of EnMS since September 2015 and played a key role in the process of implementation of EnMS in Bhilai Steel Plant.
A total of 14 major departments of BSP are in the scope of EnMS and have identified objectives and targets for improving energy efficiency. Implementation of EnMS will help BSP reiterate its commitment towards consistent improvement in energy efficiency and conservation. BSP has been consistently reducing its specific energy consumption (SEC) and has achieved the lowest SEC of 6.436 GCal/Tonne of Crude Steel in 2015-16, the press release informed.
Navin Kumar, DGM I/c (EMD) and Management Representative (EnMS), U.K. Bhaduri, acting GM (Electrical) and Associate Management Representative (EnMS) and P.K.Singh, DGM (Opr.& Gas Safety,EMD) were also present on the occasion. The proceedings were conducted by Y Y Konnur, AGM (EMD).
