A total of 3.70 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine for those aged 45 years and more arrived here on Wednesday, raising hopes of speeding up the vaccination process in Chhattisgarh.
State Immunisation Officer Dr Amar Singh Thakur said the vaccine came from Mumbai in 31 packets, weighing 992 kg.
The next lot of vaccines for the 18-44 age category is expected by June 7. The vaccination process will then be expedited, he added.
