A total of 22 police persons from Central Crime Branch (CCB) have been shifted back to their respective postings in different police stations. Superintendent of Police, OP Pal while talking to The Pioneer over phone informed that 22 police personnel including two Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) rank officers, nine head constables and remaining constables have been shifted from the CCB.
To the query about need of change in the CCB which is one of the important offshoots of district police, Pal said that while sensing the requirement of staff in police stations , the decision had been taken. “It would be eady to keep a tab on a small team and also those placed in CCB since a long time needed to be shifted,” the SP said. Creating a small but effective team was also the idea for shifting the officers from CCB, he maintained.
