Maoists have put several posters on the wall of Gram Panchayat office and Dangaria Kandha Development Agency office at Parsali in Niyamagiri hills range under Kalyan Singhpur block refuting the charges levelled against them by a Government Press release.

The release said that there was heavy exchange of fire between the Red rebels and police and the latter recovered two kit bags of Maoists containing their daily usable items, medicines, uniforms, five rounds of live ammunitions, one tiffin carrier bomb, Maoists literature, Odia learning books, etc from the spot.

last Friday during the wee hours, several posters were seen including one on a tree which refuted the charge that there was heavy firing and any recovery. The statement released by police was totally false and baseless, the Maoists claimed.

It was a manipulative tactics by the district administration headed by the Collector and the SP to protect Vedanta Aluminium limited (VAl), a multinational company wanting to mine bauxite from the Niyamagiri hills, one of the posters mentioned. It also mentioned that the purpose of the false campaign was to fail the Niyamagiri Ghat festival by suppressing tribals and justifying the combing operation.

Another poster mentioned that the Praja Gurilla liberation Army (PlGA) had killed Shyama Kadraka of Nirgindi village as he was working as a police informer. The Red rebels requested the public to learn from the past and present situation and refrain from being police informers as police is destroyer of life and not giver of life.  They should not be swayed away with money and false promises made by the police, the ultras urged.

The police administration headed by the SP was completely responsible for the death of Shyama Kadraka on last Thursday, the poster mentioned. The Maoists also requested the present police informers to surrender before them. In this regard, Maoist leader Sukadev released an audio tape.

Earlier, the district police also had pasted a poster on the same wall of Parsali Gram Panchayat office mentioning the golden opportunities available for the Maoist militia if they surrendered. Interestingly enough, the same posters were not taken out by the Maoists as was usually done by the police.
