New BJP State president Basant Panda on Monday reiterated his allegation that the State Government is trying to take all credits out of Central schemes.

“Even if the Central Government meets a major part of expenditure for food stuffs under the NFSA, yet the State Government is trying to get the credit,” said Panda on his first visit to Nuapada after being elected as BJP State chief.

Alleging that massive irregularities in selection of NFSA beneficiaries have been committed, Panda too demanded that the State Government prepare a fresh list and ensure that no deserving person is deprived of.

Many people greeted Panda at Khariar. He walked through the town in a rally with thousands of his supporters and reached the meeting venue at Nuapada in the evening where he said, “I challenge Naveen Patnaik to come for an open discussion on the issue of NFSA.”

Panda said he would request the Centre to provide railway connectivity to Khariar and supply fluoride-free drinking water on a priority basis.
