Garhwal Commissioner Subardhan stressed that his priority will be to conduct the Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra and Char Dham Yatra smoothly while ensuring that pilgrims enjoy all facilities during their visit.
Taking to mediapersons after taking charge on Friday, he said that the local bodies election should be conducted peacefully and with transparency.
Subardhan said he would focus on development works which will be physically verified in a transparent manner. The physical verification will be conducted in presence of pubic representatives, journalists and social workers of the area. He said the court of Commissioner and Additional Commissioner will be held in the regional headquarter Pauri regularly leaving aside the days allotted for Dehradun.
Subardhan asserted that he will stay in the regional headquarter. The Garhwal Commissioner said the anomalies and waste of money in development works will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against the guilty. Action will be taken against those responsible if irregularities and misuse of funds in the municipal board are proved, he added.
