nThirteen Covid deaths and 1,108 fresh Covid cases were registered in Chhattisgarh on Thursday.
Also, 462 patients were discharged from hospitals upon recovery, officials said.
The death of 13 patients has pushed total fatalities due to Covid-19 to 244 in Chhattisgarh.
Eight deaths of Covid positive patients were reported in Raipur.
A 50-year-old Covid positive man from Mahadevghat locality in Raipur was admitted in Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital in Raipur on August 24. He died on Wednesday.
Likewise, a 56-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man were admitted in the Ambedkar Hospital on August 26. Both died on Thursday. The elderly man had tongue cancer, the officials said.
A 74-year-old woman from Bajrang Chowk Mathpara and a 56-year old woman from Kota Raipur were admitted in the Ambedkar Hospital. The Mathpara woman was admitted on August 26 morning and she died the same day. The Kota woman died on Thursday. Both were Covid positive.
A 57-year-old woman from Avanti Vihar Raipur was admitted in Balaji Multi Speciality Hospital Tikrapara on August 19. She was Covid positive and died on Wednesday.
A 44-year-old man from Telibandha who was Covid positive was admitted in VY Hospital Raipur with breathlessness and respiratory distress. He died on Thursday, the officials added.
A 62-year-old woman from Byron Bazar in Raipur who had developed acute respiratory distress after she was detected Covid positive was admitted in Ambedkar Hospital in Raipur on Wednesday. She died on Thursday.
A 75-year-old man from Shri Ram Nagar in Raipur and a 53-year-old woman from Lakshmi Nagar in Raipur were detected Covid positive. The man was admitted in Ambedkar Hospital on August 23 and the woman in AIIMS Raipur on August 24. Both died on August 24, the officials said.
An 18-year-old Covid positive youth from Mahasamund who was admitted in AIIMS Raipur on August 26 died on Wednesday.
A 62-year-old woman from Dayalband in Bilaspur was admitted in a Covid hospital in Bilaspur on Wednesday and died on Thursday, the officials said.
A 73-year-old man from Bargardh in Odisha who was detected Covid positive was admitted in Ambedkar Hospital in Raipur on August 22. He died on Thursday.
