A 10-kg tiffin bomb was detected and defused in a forested patch of insurgency-hit Kondagaon district, police informed on Wednesday.
The bomb was planted in the road between Chimdi and Chalka village under the limits of Bayanar police station. A detonator and wire was also found at the spot, Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Ashok Joshi informed.
We had got information about some suspicious elements spotted near Chimdi village and accordingly a team of bomb disposal squad (BDS) was sent to the area. After intense searching, the BDS member located the bomb and diffused it, SDOP said.
