‘Swarna Prashan’ of children will be organized on Wednesday at the Government Ayurveda College Hospital in Raipur to boost their immunity.
On every Pushya Nakshatra Hindu Calendar Tithi, the children in the age group zero to 16 years are given 'Swarna Prashan' at the hospital.
This drive is conducted from 9 am to 3 pm in the Kaumarbhritya Pediatrics Department of the hospital.
Pediatrician Dr. Lavkesh Chandravanshi of the hospital said ‘Swarna Prashan’ medicine is very beneficial in boosting immunity of children, protecting them from respiratory and other diseases as well as in improving concentration and memory power.
It also helps in the physical and mental development of the children.
This year, children will be given 'Swarna Prashan' on Pushya Nakshatra dates March 29, April 27, May 24, June 20, July 18, August 14, September 10, October 7, November 4, December 1 and December 29.
