‘Submission of report to Governor a new tradition’

Staff Reporter

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday criticized the submission of a judicial report on the massacre of Congress leaders to the Governor, saying this had set a new tradition.

“It is highly objectionable that the report has been submitted to the Governor while till now it has been submitted to the state government,” Baghel said.

After all, the Governor will have to hand over the report to the government without any comment, he said.

The government had to produce an Action Taken Report in the state Assembly and till then the report could not be made public, Baghel said.

BJP leader and Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik criticized the continuing criticism by the Congress. “The Chief Minister and Congress are continuously humiliating the Raj Bhawan which is unconstitutional,” he said in a statement.
