On the instructions of Chhattisgarh Panchayat and Rural Development Minister T.S. Singh Deo, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGS) Commissioner Mohammad Kaiser Haq on Friday issued detailed guidelines for all the Zila Panchayat CEOs to ensure remuneration to the labourers. The Commissioner said the problem of transaction rejections must immediately be rectified and within a time frame.He also told CEOs to update the bank account and details of beneficiaries in passbooks so that they don’t face such problems in future. He also asked the officials to step up the pending labour payments so that the labourers don’t have economic problem during the ongoing pandemic.
