Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain on Monday said a major push on infrastructure was needed for bring peace and prosperity in the tribal-dominated Bastar region.
The official was here for a meeting to review the development works in the region.
Jain said that Bastar could be taken to the path of development only by providing security, development and trust to the people.
He underlined the need to lay a road network in the difficult terrains of the region.
At present there was a favourable condition and the construction works must be done on priority, he said.
Jain also called for facilitating weekly Haat-Bazaars to promote the rural economy in the region.
Health facilities, power supply and mobile network should also be ensured in the region, he added.
