The General Administration Department (GAD) has said that the word ‘Divyang’ will be used in place of ‘disabled’ (Viklang) in all schemes for the welfare of the disabled in Chhattisgarh.
The GAD has issued the order based on a Central government notification under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016. The circular has been sent to all the administrative departments, heads of departments, Divisional commissioners, Collectors, Commissions and board offices.
