In a bid to reduce pressure on children and to let them explore their hidden talent, the Chhattisgarh government has declared Saturdays as "Bagless Day" in all government primary and secondary schools.
Accordingly, fun-filled activities are being conducted on this day in the schools for the children's overall development.
The activities carried out on these days include sports and fancy-dress competition, debates, rangoli, painting, drama, story-telling, exercises, cleanliness-related activities and dances.
Teachers demonstrate yoga and proper exercises to the children.
The aim is to bring positive changes among children. There is 100 percent attendance in the schools on Saturdays.
School managements, parents and public representatives have contributed in making the bagless days a success.
