Foot blisters make you hop in pain & frustration many a times restricting your movement. But there are simple remedies to avoid the predicament, says Roshani Devi

Excited about wearing your brand new footwear but are not sure about getting a blisterIJ It is, indeed, painful if you get one on your feet and it worsens with moisture and friction. Worry not! Here are some home remedies for quick heal:

Prevent a blister with deodorant: Keeping your feet dry helps prevent blisters. Slide any gel deo around the sides and top of the dry feet before slipping on a new pair of shoes. This lubricates problem areas and reduces the risk of friction blisters.

Bandaid: Bandaid reduces friction and protects your blister from irritating contact. Stick the middle padded part over your blister. Apply two-three if required. This nullifies friction and dirt risks of infection.

Castor oil: Apply before you go to bed and let it sit overnight to help your blister dry up and heal. You can mix the castor oil with apple cider vinegar to further aid healing.

Aloe vera gel: Aloe vera is anti-inflammatory so it helps reduce redness and swelling that cause pain. Studies have proved that aloe is an effective traditional medicine in healing second and third-degree burns, making it an excellent home remedy for blisters too.
