For the first time, visitors to Pradhan Mantri Sanghrahalay, will be able to have lifelike, interactive conversations with a 3D avatar of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
This initiative creates an engaging experience where visitors can pose questions and receive answers on the leader's life, philosophies and pivotal moments in India's history. September 17 has been chosen to unveil the AI-powered Patel as it coincides with birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also because of the historical significance of the date, which is when Hyderabad became a part of India.
"This AI-powered Holobox is more than just a technological marvel. It is a bridge between the past and the present. Through this initiative, we aspire to unify India's youth with its historical consciousness," Ashwani Lohani, Director, Prime Ministers Museum and Library, told The Pioneer.
According to an official of the Pradhan Mantri Sanghralaya, on September 17, 1948, with the success of Operation Polo, Hyderabad was liberated from the Nizam's rule and integrated into the Indian Union — an achievement made possible by Sardar Patel's resolute commitment to national unity. "And two years later, on September 17, 1950, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was born, who is touted to emerge as a leader dedicated to further strengthening the very spirit of unity and integrity under the vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat," said the official
The museum is also working towards the introduction of a life-size AI-powered Holobox of former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam to inspire generations with his vision and wisdom.
"The Holobox is a manifestation of the Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat spirit — a tribute to the man who shaped modern India and a reflection of PM Modi's vision to combine heritage with high technology. This will set a global benchmark in experiential history and inspire similar innovation worldwide," said Rajendra Chandan Pugalia, chief executive officer, Planetarium and Sangrahalaya.
