Three students of Delhi’s St Stephen’s College drowned in Kerala’s Periyar river on Friday. They had gone on a “private trip” there.
“St Stephen’s College is deeply saddened by the demise of three of its students. Other students in the group of 11 are fine,” Principal Prof John Varghese told The Pioneer.
He refused to confirm whether this was a private or official trip. “I can’t say more right now. The entire College community joins the bereaved families in this tragic moment,” the principal added.
The deceased have been identified as Anubhav Chandra, Kennet Jose, and someone Patel from UP.
