In a major fallout of the break-up in electoral alliance between the Democratic Front (DF) partners, the NCP late on Thursday night withdrew its support to the Congress-led DF Government, thus reducing the Prithviraj Chavan dispensation to a minority Government. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar handed over a letter to the Governor withdrawing the party’s support to the DF Government.
Meanwhile, sources in the Shiv Sena said that the party’s Union Minister for Heavy Industries Anant Gete was contemplating to resign from the Narendra Modi Cabinet.
